New keyword, existing page or new page better

    Hello,

I'm pretty new here but hopefully you would still answer a question which I am wondering.

I have cheap travel site that ranks well in one of the popular keyword in my language.
Now I would like to add another popular term, the same topic, but a completely different word.

Could it be harmful to the current keyword, if the same page link to a lot of new search term?

Is it better to do with it's own page under the same domain, or use the same page?

    Hi,

If keywords are related to each other(like LSI keywords) then do it on the same page and if you already don't haver too many keywords that you are targeting with this page.
So if your main keyword is let say "cheap travel" and you want to add "cheap cruise" that go for it, this would be better in long run, because google don't like when people are targeting only one keyword, that doesn't look very natural.
I will say add few more keywords related to that main keyword, like "discount cruise", "cheap wacations", etc..., just sprinkle that keywords into your content and be sure that you use that keywords in achor text pointing back to that page, just don't over do it with links(like 1000 in one week), make it look natural.

Is this new keyword for your home page or an internal one.
I have always found that it's good to link to internal pages - Google seems to like this - so I would advise putting up a new page, linking from your new keyword about 50 - 50 between your home page and new page, then making sure that you have lots of internal links going to your new page to make crawling easy.

Thanks for guiding us man. I want to ask what are LSI keywords that you mentioned there. I am asking this to you because I have never heard such term so please let me know about that so that I can enhance my knowledge.
