If you can get email list for free then take it but if you are paying for the list then I don't think it is a good idea because you never know whether the list includes your targeted potential customers or not.

Good email list is a passive income generator. Who would sell you something that brings them money month after month? You'll probably buy useless junk.

it depends from which suplier you are purchasing that list. cheap supplier are useless, good list will cost a good money!

There are ways to advertise without spamming, part of that is working to find lists who are interested in your niche

First you have to buy the mails but later it may goes as spam.
So go for genuine even though it is small in number.

Many of them are spam or not a real persons..

And if it is real, you won't get anything from it. They will never reply, buy from you, or anything.
It is best if you get list with a 'real' works. It take some time, but the results is more than worthed

As per my knowledge, most of the emails in such purchased email list are made up of irrelevant audience. Sometimes majority of emails are from either same company or of sales and support which are of no use again. So better not to purchase. And if you are willing to purchase, make sure that all the emails are unique means not from the same company, include email ids of your targeted audience & not a single email of support, sales, hr or similar kind of general email id.
