    Facebook will easily pass Yahoo

Facebook will easily pass Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) as the biggest outlet for display ad dollars in the U.S. this year. The market research firm says Yahoo’s display ad revenue will increase a respectable 16 percent to $1.65 billion in 2011, but that the social network will see its display ad revenue jump 80 percent to $2.19 billion.
Yahoo has—perhaps unsurprisingly, considering its market share is falling—disputed the notion that Facebook is taking the lead in the display ad market, saying that the offerings of the two companies are not comparable.

I think it passed the Yahoo and now Facebook is giving tough time to Google but difficult to defeat.

totally agreed with you but i think we should not compare these site i mean yahoo and google with facebook because these are search engines and facebook is a social media site but we should compare google with yahoo and definitely yahoo can't beat google. I am also agreed with you about that now body can beat google now a day and near in future.

Just remember that before Google there was Excite and before them was yadda yadda. Google isn't safe. We have to be dynamic in this game and movement is the best way to stay ahead of the pack.

Facebook already gets more impressions than Google does. No wonder if it earns more revenue than Yahoo. If Facebook starts a search engine too which connected with their social network then it will be a serious threat to Google. probably the biggest ever.

When it comes to profit, yes, it might have defeated Yahoo. But they do not have the same relevance.
