And the most pathetic thing is that I have contacted with their BST OP (Zingo) about banning and he has simply replied that he has banned 100 people today so dont disturb him for asking why he banned me.

I think Admin of WF must banned such mod who feels proud to banning members.

Admin himself may be more than that. Else, he won't take a rest and see such condition in him own forum..

Most Assuredly. I am a supermod, yes, do I like banning people? No, why? because it makes me sad that the people I ban could have really been part of IMT and become quality members, if they just tried instead of doing the wrong thing. It's not about power, its about knowing people, knowing how to talk to them, how to interact with them on a forum, knowing how to deal with them if some do something wrong. Power trips kill forums, just like they kill everything else in the world, and its better to be level headed and find a solution both people can live with, than ban everyone from the outset, and give the forum a bad rep.

Everyone on a forum is a peacemaker, teacher, friend even. If everyone is happy in their surroundings on a forum, they would do what they could to enhance the forum, add quality to the forum, and try help as many people as they can. If their surroundings are less than perfect, I would probably say that they wouldn't feel half as motivated to help out or be part of the forum. That is the balance that mods and admin on forums need to remember. It's not easy, that much I can say, but its rewarding when you see a forum grow, and become a powerhouse in its own rights.

i totally agreed with all of your statement above.. i love being part of IMT community rather than other IM forum... some forum it is very hard for admin to answer certain question but here admin also being part of the community and also treat as close friend.. there's no gap between admin and new user... no power abuse at all

Yes, i am agree with you more than 100%. If i am not wrong, the only reason that IMTalk.org is growing is because Nemanja is very active here and his response to everyone query is just amazing. So when you know your question will be answered promptly either by admin,mods or senior people at any forum, you would love to stay there. My personal experience says that SEOBunny and Anupviews were those first ones who has answered my each and every query and for which I am really thankful to them. Then Nemanja friendly attitude made me to decided to give more time to IMTalk and so my journey goes on with Imtalk. Thats why I love IMTalk because you will be replied and replied promptly.

WF forums is really hard to post on. There is a lack of quality, informative posts and trying to help other members, I have found usually gets shot down. Older members feel like they have a lot of authority. I'm not a fan and I visit there rarely now. It is however good for selling services, however you need to have been on that forum for quite a while before you even think about otherwise people just want free copies. Not even discounted. I haven't heard about the banning situations as I tend to stay out of that sort of stuff, forum politics etc.

The most popular forum like DP and WP, if you ask the same question that already been asked, some senior members would not help you at all, you are on your own, maybe they just said "why not use search button?" instead of answer our question

Sometimes I can understand that. There are members that don't know how to navigate a forum properly, and even though they have tried, still cannot find an answer to their question. There are some, however, that couldn't be bothered and are asking the most ridiculous questions under the sun to raise their own post count so that they can post a signature and leave the forum when they have enough backlinks. Most times its hard to tell which is which, and many forums adopt a guilty until proven innocent stance.

In several posts where newcomers ask a question that has been asked many times I usually refer to a post that answers at least part of their question.

And yes, there's too many phoney forum members that have joined with the wrong intentions...

If visitors decide to sign up for a forum their behaviour will be influenced a lot by existing posts.
If the respected and most active members post decent and normal posts, so will new members.
Especially if they see no accusations, harsh language or insulting posts at all.

IMTalk is a good example...probably the best.
And because of this members respect the forum more, will be more active, will always find something to respond on and learn from the quality posts.

Yes I use to be on that site and it is infact so childish.. I'm shocked it's still as active as it is. I think during the time I was on that site I got banned like 5 times for stupid reason.. I'm grateful just like you that I found IMtalk!
