I'm using the Onlywire plugin for my blogs.
It posts your blog posts to a LOT of social networks automatically.

I hardly do anything manually on social networks, except for facebook...

About vkontakte - is it worth risking by giving them mobile number in hope of receiving an invite? What about possible spam or even worse - SMS scam?

I'm from the Netherlands. I'm using multiple Twitter-accounts since I did not wanted to mix my personal and business related stuff. In addition I have a Twitter account focusing on cooking & wines, so a specific focus on a topic of my interest.

I'm on Facebook, mainly for personal stuff
I'm on LinkedIn
And in the Netherlands the equivalent of Facebook is Hyves.nl, with more than 8 million people having an account on this social network.

Mainly on IMTalk however Facebook only

I'm Dutch as well.

Hyves is not like facebook, but a huge community if you consider Holland only has 17 million inhabitants.
I've heard Hyves will go international...

Same here. And use all the popular social sites for business, never made a single account for personal use though.

with so many networking sites, what i love the most are facebook, twitter and linkedin. it helps me connect good old friends and it provides group or community for you to discuss anything.

i like to use twitter and linkedin too. they help get people and make community out of it.

I like facebook and linkedin. i don't like twitter mcuh. facebook and linkedin are good in socializing specific persons with their professions and skills.

In Indonesia, people can’t live without Facebook.

True but the OP wanted to know what social network you use.

Not just in India,in all over the world Facebook is better than any other social network.

World population now = 6,840,507,000, facebook = around 800 million active users (include me ) i'm not hardcore user of facebook, because facebook will steal my time
