Yes you are right its final and easy way to show updates of your website on facebook other wise you can do it manually if your site is about e-commerce then you can post your product on facebook manually.

You can copy just Facebook Feed URL and post on your website. Another you can use plugin.

Simply use Notes | Facebook apps and your Facebook status will automatically update whenever you make a new post in your blog

yo dude, if your site is a wordpress based one, you can install a plug-in to do the work easily.

there are free wordpress plugins which may do it easily
