to get traffic, you need to make a facebook fan page, then get more fans for it. If you can't do it by yourself, buy a facebook fan page where there are almost lot of fans. After that, promoting something through it is a just a piece of cake. You'll get enough traffic.
Also you can use Facebook groups about the niche you are interested in. They let you add links to the group. So if group members finds your site interesting you will be getting lot of targeted traffic.
Developing presentable Facebook Fan Page is quite easy now. It will be also nice idea to implement iframe to your fan page as it will make your page more functional and vivid. I got a new Idea, you can get traffic to your site by making a facebook app or a game. Its better than a fan page I think. All you have to do is, make one or buy one from some one and introduce it to people. If it is interesting, people will use it and you will get traffic from your facebook app.
By creating different groups and pages and keeping them updated,
to get traffic you need lots of fans or you can funnel traffic other facebook pages
In my opinion you can create a personal page on facebook. After then you can join groups.
