Social media sites do have a positive impact on the SEO. To decide which social site shall bring you success, depends on what are you focusing through your website. Let say if your website is helpful more to the young age group, you can take the use of Twitter or Facebook. If your site is for professional clients, then better to focus on Google+ or LinkedIn.
Remind one more thing, Google uses Twitter to explore and discover the new content and focuses more on Google+.

Any one answer to this question is WRONG!!!

Because each business, and each industry is DIFFERENT !

For example, I recently read about a woman who designs jewelry . . . for her, she got the best results from Tumblr. Does that mean that "Tumblr is the best social media"? NO! Even for a designer of a different type of jewelry, or for the same designer, using different strategies, a different social-media might be much better, or much worse.

The SEO value of social-media depends on how much a post is shared, commented, liked etc. How well this will work, on each different social-media platform, for each individual business, using each individual marketing strategy, depends o many factors.

For example, the demographics of different social-media channels are different. For example, Pinterest has more middle-aged woman with higher than average income, than other demographics. So, obviously, that will suit some businesses better than others.

Think carefully what you REALLY want . . . an easy answer so your ego can feel like you know "the answer", or a real answer that works in the real world ??? The choice is yours !

I often use use Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest and Reddit. In fact through out last year i run facebook advert to reach more audience but due to fluctuating dollar to naira exchange rate, i have to stop it and rely on my facebook page which i have grow over the years.

Personally, I like Twitter, because I can post the same post more frequently and use different hashtags to reach new audiences. This helps to drive traffic, as long as the topic is interesting.
