Importance of social media optimization in terms of SEO

Hi,

Certain popular websites like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube which have more than five million visitors everyday are considered to be an important hub for marketing. Promoting your business using these sites is a very attractive business proposition since they offer a huge amount of steady traffic every day. In today's world, social networking is extremely successful and social media marketing is very important to a business because of the sheer number of people that access these sites regularly.

In my terms i will define them as a source of traffic only.

Social media is not going away. In fact, it's progressing faster than anybody could of thought. Social media in my opinion will become bigger than Google in terms of revenue. The SE's are well aware of that and social media is now a ranking factor in SEO.

That being said, you need to start SEO'ing with Social media in mind all the time! Those who won't will miss the boat!
