Social networking sites that are now dead

What are some of the social networking sites out there that aren't doing so good or are pretty much dead now? I don't think Myspace is near death yet, but I know that it's not that popular these days. I figure friendster is a dead social site as well. What sites would you say are near dead or are just completely finished. I just want to know so as to steer clear of them.

It is very dificult to say one site has dead, what work for you may not work for other,if you are not getting result from it does that means is death.

Focus on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and VK and you will get sufficient traffic and leads from these so no need to spend time in finding which are dead and which are alive.

Never say never, who knows maybe a revamping will bring them back, although the huge popularity of Facebook or Twitter will continue to eclipse them

I say stick with the big three or four. For me it's Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and maybe Google+ for good measure. I use all four of said services, and they all help out in some way. I can't be bothered to use any other social sites out there to my advantage because there's no point. Once a site is barely remembered, it's pointless to bother utilizing it I believe.

Personnaly, I replaced LinkedIn with Pinterest, it`s more attractive as design
Google+ is still an empty desert, comparing with Facebook or Twitter, but has the potential to become a reliable option in the the next 2-3 years

Things change time to time old Myspcace site died years ago and now its something else. But there are still plenty of big boys to get traffic from.

According to me Now, these day G+ is also the best for increasing the website traffic and help to crawl link to Google search. Post which we used is G+ is included in Google search when we search for appropriate keyword according to keyword. Another Facebook and Twitter is also best for increasing the website traffic and Popularity By SMO.

At this time Google orkut is now near to die. I have seen on any website post that orkut is now going to stooped by the Google inc.

You are right, it's easy to get traffic from Reddit, pinterest. but i have a question about twitter, how to get traffic from this one

MySpace is definitely one that is dying to be honest, it's tried and had it's day I feel. I remember using it a while back when it was still pretty popular and it just seemed to phase out due to the likes of Facebook and the Twitter. It seems to me that MySpace is used more now for bands and singers than anything else.

Hi, I completely agree with the discussion here. Day by day craze of social media is decreasing among people, but that doesn’t mean that they are dying or dead. I agree that some of them are really dead like myspace, Orkut (recently dead, official) and other website which is near about dead zone are like hi5, etc. Some website is still a giant in the marketing field or over the internet like Facebook, Twitter (micro blogging). Recently, some of niche social networking website such as betternetworker.com, mlmdiary.com seems to be getting a good response from the users.

Must focus on the networks that can provide some value to your articles, as traffic (immediat bennefit) and rankings increase (long term bennefit), that is a good list!
