I have never had A twitter account

I have never had a twitter account. Yes I am a 40 year old twitter virgin! Lol.
I have read up on twitter and of course I am familiar with it but I am being dead serious when I say I truly do not understand it. Will someone please educate me on this?
My question is this. How would twitter benefit me as a local service business, also is twitter basically just letting people know your every move? I mean my life sucks, my tweats would be 1.) refinishing a bathtub 2.) eating 3.)on IMT forum Lol. I mean that sums up the best part of my day!

Actually I have account(I dont' know username and pass anymore), but I never used it.
I think you dont' need it.

Yeah, Twitter is pretty useless. It can bring some visitors, but usually it's 0-5 visitors per tweet. Nokia once retweeted one of my tweets to over 600000 followers, and it gained about 70-80 clicks. Giving you some perspective.

Facebook, Pinterest and Google+ works the best (for my experience)

Thank you for the response. It was just what I thought. I don't think I will be signing up for twitter any time soon.

i too don't have a twitter account because i didn't feel a need to have a account in twitter

you really don't have to make meanless twites on twitter, there is a search box in twitter where you can type in the keyword of the niche or product you are interested in you can start following those people and they will follow you too, with time you will have a huge data base of follower. then just make a comment about your product with it url and post it your followers will receive your twites and some sure will come to your site. for me i do receive traffic from twitter

I have a twitter account but I open it only once in 4-5 days or may be more but still I give daily updates on Twitter. I can do this because I have integrated my twitter account with the Auto Poster Wordpress Plugin I am using daily.

And that's the problem. Everyone uses automation. Twitter is pretty much good only for backlinks.

But sir twitter is the very popular social market for upgrade your business so for the business i think is this very important.

I think twitter is actually popular for bringing traffic and traffic starts flowing in when someone retweets your tweets.

there is a site called twitter back links which allows you to put in a tweet (even if you don't have a twitter account) and they send out the links for you to get re-tweeted and send around the twitter-sphere

maybe it will help you out if you are unsure of how to use twitter :)

I have twitter account and it is quite beneficial for me. I am using it for brand building. I share informative posts and genuine people follow me. I find it good and I also think if you are in Internet Marketing then it is quite beneficial and must tool also.

the twitter is not very necessary, but if you use it you will boost a little your traffic with few more visitors...

You should try Twitter, if you want to use a brief version of Facebook, at least this is my perspective
So, if you are irritated by a suite of photos and long messages on your virtual space, Twitter makes it smaller, no photo on the news feed (naturally, you can find it, if you click on that tweet) and the text of users is limited to a certain number of signs, which will force them to be clear and catchy, as in an advertisement, if they want to be taken in account by other users

But i get a twitter handle for my every website i indent to use, sooner i register the name and have the domain mail installed on it

all you have to do is learn how to make good use of this social site
