Thread: Can I do blogging?

Hi,

I have heard lots of people saying that there is great money in blogging, is it correct?

If I also want to do it then what should I do mainly.

I know that I should have good writing skill but is there anything more to know for blogging.

How would I create SEO friendly blogs?

Too many question to answer.. and all required long explanation, the main point is, you should start from zero and learn from the basic. Go setup a blog now and start posting a content, from time to time you will learn what your mistake.. keep reading content in this forum, learn from others

The first thing is to take action. Before digging into blogging, I have first buy domain and learn how to install wordpress on it. Use youtube for some great source of information. I will suggest install Stumbleupon toolbar in your system and add SEO and Blog category to browse, you will see immense information on how to blogging. Above all if you can have problogger.net blogging books, that is much better to read before starting your blogs.

I have started blogging 5 months back and now I have a PR2 BLOG.

can you share how you make your link building process so that you can get PR2 in 5 month? i'm interested to know

I also want to have a blog, but I don't know where and what to start. What I have right now is my inputs on my blog. Would you suggest me things about this?

it is all about writing quality articles and SEO. If you are good at both or if you can hire experts to do this, you will be successful

You would create a SEO-friendly blog the same way you would create a SEO-friendly website -- through on-page an off-page SEO factors. I'd recommend searching for the top blogs and bloggers of your niche and try to learn a little about them before you get into the process of making money from a blog. You will be able to find out if this is what you really want to do.

Frankly speaking, i am not a great backlink builder, but i always put my links on quality blogs and related blogs. I also blogs for some other good names( some are paid and some are guest) that allow me to link back to my blog. Ad for me, getting PR is not always related to Backlink, Quality Content counts a lot.

Web Designs, iPhone, Android and General Technology related blogs are very popular now a day. You can think to start one of them. However quality and unique content is the key to success in Blogging. Let me know if you need any help on starting a blog, i am always there to help any one.

True Fact is that in January 2011, i dont know a word about blogging. I was just a freelance writer. Now i have 2 blogs and few other domains( For affiliate marketing). These are

Design and Tech Blog : DailyTop15.com*|*General Talk, Web Design, Web Development, Wordpress, Inspirations, Money Making Tips ( PR2 in 5 Months, Started in end of February 2011)
Tech News and Video Blog : JustHotNews.com*|*All About Apple, Facebook, Google, Twitter, Windows, Inspirations, WWWFun (Started just a month ago)

IMO anyone can begin blogging. Setting up the blog is easy, because you have two routes you can work with. Paid, and free. Paid works better, but if you're experimenting and learning, I would go for free Wordpress, Blogger etc.) Learning to set up a WP Blog is relatively easy with little coding knowledge at all. WP has a page dedicated to teaching people how to install WP on their sites. When you set one up, make sure you have at least one primary keyword in your blog title.

When you have a blog set up, you can optimize it even more. When you write a blog post, use your primary keyword, and also use it two or three times in your actual post. Keep linking to a minimum, although while you write your post in WP, it will give you alternative links you could use. Make sure images have alt tags used, using your primary keyword as well.

When you select tags for your post, make sure they contain your keywords as well, and make sure that they are related to the content in your blog post.
Other than that, make sure that your content is unique, inviting to readers. Also keep your posts helpful. Never fully advertise a product. You can advise them, and help them make decisions, but it is not really a good idea to create a post just to advertise. (The Panda).
