Tips for Making Money with Fiverr-types of Sites
These are suggestions based upon what I have learned. Personally, I don't like Fiverr much itself. They have poor communication and have a very lose ToS, in a bad way - meaning they can ban you for no apparent reason.
But you can make a good, steady income.
1. Deliver more than what they paid. Go extra far in trying to please your customer.
2. Encourage the buyer to leave a review.
3. Deliver on time, every time.
4. Advertise your Gigs all over the place, including to your Facebook and Twitter fans.
5. Take part of your earnings and reinvest, so you are always getting better. With the money you've earned buy advanced software to make your work stand out from the rest.
----So, if you do photo editing work, then buy additional modules for Photoshop, so it will seem like a steal to the customer for what they are buying. It's win-win!
6. Create templates. Streamline your processes, so what once took you 25 minutes to complete now takes only 15.
7. Create gigs on multiple platforms, not just Fiverr or 1sawbuck.
8. Leave reviews of each of your buyers.
9. Read the TOS of each platform, so you don't get banned and have to start over. Ugh!!
10. Offer multiple types of gigs on each platform.
11. Don't spread yourself too thin. You need to be able to complete the work on time.
12. Always suspend your gigs when you need a break.
13. Follow @PromoteYourGigs on Twitter, so your gigs can be retweeted.
14. Offer gigs from fairly specialized software, so it will especially seem worth buying when it is just a one-time deal for the buyer. They don't want to pay $200 for some software that they will use once, whereas you will be using it all the time by doing work off of it.
15. Offer gigs that are from your town or region, such as "I will take a picture of me holding a sign with your logo in <your town> and scream your name really loud".
