Ebay Arbitrage (Make Money Buying And Selling The SAME Products)

First off: This is not a "new" strategy, it's just very simple and it works.

In my early internet marketing days I used this simple strategy to make anything from $400-$2000 in profits every week. It's simple, easy to do, and you can get started with around $100 or less.

This technique is known as "Ebay Arbitrage".

The basic idea is, you buy poorly listed auctions and relist them properly for a profit. It's that simple.

At first I didn’t believe it was possible to make money online that easily. But as soon as I started doing this I started making money.

If you need to make some quick cash fast (or even a full time living for that matter), I am now revealing the exact strategy I used, step by step, so you can do it too.

Just one thing. I was using Trade Me at the time (New Zealand’s most popular online auction site) as Ebay never really took off in my country. But, I know that the same principles still work on Ebay.

First, I suggest starting with a popular category where the products are in HOT DEMAND. I used to buy and sell mobile phones. I suggest to start there.

What you’re looking for in auctions are obvious mistakes people make that are a turn off for “sensible” bidders. Things that stop most people from bidding on the auctions.

These are most common “warning signs” most people look for:

-Poor quality photos or no photos
-Little or no description about the product
    -Seller has no feedback history
-Seller has a negative feedback history
    -Seller isn’t answering questions
-Seller refuses to use the “safe buying” / escrow payment feature
-Misspelled product names (no one’s finding the auction)
-Seller does not allow pick ups

A few or all of those things combined are enough to stop most people from bidding on those auctions. But the funny thing is, 90% of the time there’s nothing wrong with the product. The seller just has no idea how to list an auction properly (GREAT news for you!).

Then do a search using the “expired listings” function for the exact same product. Have a look at how much the product in question is selling for on average. Make sure to look carefully at the variables. Some products sell for higher prices because they’re still in the box, have no scratches, they’re still under warranty and so on.

Once you know what the products are worth, be prepared to bid up to half that value. So if you come across a product you know you can sell for $100, be prepared to bid up to $50.

At first, you may run into some competition, especially if there’s other people out there doing this (which there usually is). If you run into stiff competition, and it’s the same bidders every time, here's what I suggest you do (which is what I did):

BE PREPARED TO BID MORE THAN THE ITEMS ARE WORTH.

You might think I’m crazy for suggesting this, but in my experience, there’s only a few people in each category who look for these listings. And when you come along and bid aggressively, they soon back off (most people just aren’t that competitive) – especially if they can’t make a profit. In fact, if you do this quite a few times, after a while, as soon as they see you bidding, they’ll back off altogether.

This is how I was able to CRUSH my competition. I was willing to bid THREE TIMES what the item was worth just to get them to back off. In the end I was often one of the only people bidding on each phone.

Now, occasionally you’ll come across a competing bidder who actually genuinely wants the item. If that happens, just bid as high as you feel comfortable then just let it go if the bidding gets too high.

Once you have the products, obviously make sure they work. Again, 90% of the time there’s nothing wrong with them, and the 10% of times you end up buying a dud will be compensated by all the profit you make.

Now all you have to do is relist the items properly. Here is the exact strategy I used:

First off, take and upload high quality pictures. The more the merrier.

Write a thorough description. Use a positive review for the product on Amazon if you can find one. Make sure to list all the different features and functions, ESPECIALLY if you’re selling phones.

Next do a Google search for "spelling typo generator" and click the #1 result. (I would post the URL here but can't post links yet.)

Copy and paste the brand name / model name for the product into the text box and click all the boxes. Click “generate typos”.

Now do a search for each and every keyword you just generated on Ebay or Trade Me or whatever you’re using.

If lots of listings are popping up for some of the keywords you’re entering, there's a good chance lots of people commonly misspell that keyword.

Then simply stuff your auction description with the most common misspelled variations you can find without being spammy. Every time someone does a search for a misspelled variation of your model / brand, your listing will be one of the only ones to pop up.

Now, it’s very important to use any and all available promotional features (if the value of the item makes it worthwhile). Give your auctions every possible chance of success. Make your listing appear bold. Use a bold title. Do whatever you can to stand out.

Finally, you MUST use a title that’s different from everyone else.

For example, if 20 other people are selling a Nokia 3120 and they all say “Nokia 3120″ or “Nokia 3120 for sale” in their title (boring), what you should do is say:

    “Iphones Suck – Nokia 3120″

    Why?

Because it’s different, unusual and stands out straight away. And it’s kind of funny. People will be curious enough to at least check out your auction.

I used this exact strategy to make anything from $400-$2000 a week in PROFITS just by buying and reselling mobile phones. You can do the same with virtually any product.
