I get over half my traffic to a couple of sites from images, but the traffic is low quality. They come to see if there are bigger copies or other similar pics on the site. I don't recall that I have ever seen a click from my image search traffic. That is not to say that you can't get good quality traffic from image search, just passing on my experience.

Traffic for the sake of numbers is a dead end, and can even hurt your AdSense income. What you want is targeted traffic that is looking for the product or service that you promote.
