Social bookmarking is a method of organizing and storing online resources, but from SEO point of view it's a great way to add backlinks (links to your site) on high PR websites, and get traffic to your website. Just think about adding backilinks to sites like Digg.com (PR8), Folkd.com (PR8), Oneview.com (PR6) etc.
In regard to your question, to add backlinks to social bookmark sites require a title and a short description. Here's an example. Let's say you have a guitar website:

Title: Free Guitar Lessons (The title will link to your website)
Description: Get free guitar lessons and video tutorials at <YOURSITE.COM>. Easy navigation for song lyrics, chords and guitar tuning.

What I also do is I spin the title and description to make each submission unique in the eyes of Google. So the above can look like this:

Title: {Free|Cost Free} {electric|acoustic|classic} guitar {lessons|tutorials}
Description: Get {free|cost free} {electric|acoustic|classic} guitar {lessons|tutorials} and video {tutorial|guides|lessons} at <YOURSITE.COM>. {Easy|Simple|Convenient|Smooth} navigation for... you get the idea.

That way the sentence will be submitted differently each time but will still have the same meaning and idea. Once it will be "Free electric guitar lessons", once "Cost free classic guitar tutorial" and so on.
