Mine only 1.5Mbps for download and around 385kbps for upload.. enough for me for doing a blogging job and sometimes watch online movie. How yours?

Verizon running fiber to the home has pushed the cable ISPs a bit in, at least, some regions of the States. I have 'turbo' service for the added uplink speed. My ISP is rolling out one more step of premium service called lightning speed in my area, but I probably will not go for the next step. They offer lite, standard, turbo, and soon lightning speeds.

    These are typical results:

The speed being offered by the new 'lightning' service is 50 Mb/s. My 'turbo' is listed as 15 Mb/s service, but todays result is typical of most days. The uplink is listed as 2.0 Mb/s, but the speedtest gauge never quite makes it that high. Uplink with turbo is about 4X the standard speed though.

wow...I am not surprised to see those sky rocketing figures relative to your location/country. But for not so productive countries, average for home connection speed is at 1Mbps upload. That's what I am getting. It sucks

I live out in the country so my speed goes up and down. We are the last house that gets the internet out this way too. Slow is still better than dial up, can't always watch videos, but the speed is slowly getting better.

Mine is a 512 Mb/s unlimited ADLS line. It's cheaper than higher speed limited broad band lines so I still keep it.
