Thread: What Free Software Do You Use to Protect Your PC

I use SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBites, SpyBot Search and Destroy, SpywareBlaster, Microsoft Security Essentials do I need more or Im good? How about You?

i used just simple anti virus to protect my pc

I am using Avira to protect my PC.

AVG Anti-Virus is free and is really good

i use smadav. the best local antivirus

I use wise registry cleaner, wise disk cleaner, registry mechanic, avast, Spybot search and destroy and MalwareBites.

All of them are different types of programms with different functions, but all of them together keep my computer really clean, fast and with full functionality after 3 years!

I used to use Kaspersky but when it expired I installed Avast So far so good lol

Another vote for AVG. It's a good match for my XP SP3 box.

I was an AVG user for years until my hosting space got hacked and an Avast user notified me that the sirens had sounded when he tried to visit my site. The hacker had dropped a malicious javascript on all index files and all .js files on the space. The hosting service did a password reset (I had immediately changed my password) a bit later, indicating (to me) that their password file had not been too secure. AVG had no complaint with the sites there.
