It's not a shocker. Paypal has been there ever since they have started doing business. Also they are one of most used sites in online business.

for me, it is not shocking, becasue i didnt like them allready they have fees far away from fairness and freeze people accounts only like that.... They have a strong arm, becasue they are in ebay. Tahts why it is very famous.

If their fees were so unfair people would not use them.

The ease and convenience of paypal means that many people decide the fees are fair. Everyone would like to get something for less but its an easy to use system widely accepted and trusted.

Most of my online income comes though Paypal, I do have some paid to directly.

Paypal takes 3.6% average fee from me, i just build this into my charges and accept it.

3.6% fee is in your country. But different countries, differnet fees. there was a time, it was in india about arround 9% fee and in my home country germany it is less, same around like you have. I didnt live in india, but did you call this still fair? The only reason why they used that paypal, becasue the years before it was not much online pay getaway aviable. So paypal took this change and made his fee as it likes. Good now that more payment ways are here and still coming. Freelancers which i know from india, they look for another way too and found it.

If people hate paypal so much they why they use it so much. I am sharing my personal experience about paypal.

Here are my positive views. I am using paypal since 2006. Once in 2008 someone has scammed me in paypal but I immediately reported it to paypal and paypal recovered my money in a month.

Here is my negative view. There is one big thing that I dislike about paypal and it is that Paypal do not allow Indian users to send and receive payment mutually.

Payza is better in this matter.
