Facebook to me was always too personal, through necessary evils I had to get one but I still don't get the people that just sit there and put their life story out online. Now I am one to talk because truth is.... I can't stay away from this forum. I love the regulars I talk to and meeting new people. However, on this forum I always leave with one of two things accomplished. I either learned something new about SEO. Or I helped someone with a problem they had concerning SEO or websites.
So I was doing a little thinking as I am sitting here in Texas at 10:57pm sippin' some Jim Beam. Wishing my buddy BlueArrow, Johnny Ray and a few others were here with me so we could enjoy a glass of Fine Kentucky Bourbon and switch out ideas. Anyway, I was wondering is the difference between loving the forum and loving the social sites like facebook a maturity thing? I see facebook as a "bragging rights" type of site for the most part.... a look at me thing. Where IMT is a "hey can I help you" or "lets share some knowledge" ..... I would be interested to hear some feed back on other Members thoughts.
One more thing, When I was growing up, and maybe this is just a southern country thing IDK, but we didn't air our dirty laundry so to speak..... we never let other people know our business but at the same time if someone was in trouble you helped. Some of us older guys on here, I would like to know would something like facebook ever have made it when you were growing up? Could you even imagine it? Heck, I was working daddys stores and unloading trucks at 13 years old so if yall are like me we would have asked "who has the time"!
