    Web Hosting

What do you mean by Web Hosting, What significance does it have for SEO.
What type of server hosting you choose, Free hosting, Dedicated server hosting or any other (specify if you choose any other besides the two, and reason why to choose too?)

You offer only the least and most expensive forms of hosting as options in your poll. I suspect that most use one of the options in between. While I might consider free hosting for Web2.0 or supporting sites I would not use it for one of my money sites. I am on paid shared hosting with my sites at the present time. The next logical step would be VPS hosting. A dedi-box might be important for a busy eCommerce site, but would not provide good value for most niche or affiliate marketing sites.

Like wink0r said OP has skipped the 2 most used Hosting options which is shared hosting and VPS. I use free hosting, shared hosting and VPS hosting depending what type of site is I put on those. I use VPS for forums and other bandwidth and resource eating sites. Free hosting is good for keeping new domains and also for mini sites which I use as 2nd tire sites.

That is a very good information you have provided, I am new to the hosting part and I just wanted to find enough of the information about this, You surely helped me to get a good knowledge about VPS and Shared Hosting, I would like to know more about the traits and downfalls of both of the hosting types you have mentioned.

Shared hosting is exactly as the name implies. Many hosting accounts are put on one server and share the available resources. This is usually the least expensive paid hosting available. As long as the sites hosted on the server are not too resource hungry shared hosting usually works fine. Many of the offers for shared hosting say unlimited everything, but you need to read the fine print in the TOS page to find out what the real limits are. Usually there is a file count (inode) limit and some database limitations. With shared hosting there will usually be one IP address for the server. Different hosting spaces listen/communicate through different ports.

VPS hosting means a virtual private server. This is a form of shared hosting with less limitations. While the hosting spaces do share resources each hosting space is set up on a virtual machine and has its own OS. Generally there are options as far as the OS and features available. The least expensive VPS hosting is un-managed. With an un-managed VPS you install the OS and configure the server yourself. The step up is managed VPS hosting. There are also steps offered with memory allocation at an additional expense. The usual basic plan does not really offer enough memory for a busy site, so usually one of the more expensive plans is a better value to get good performance. You can host multiple sites on your VPS and can usually add additional IP addresses for a reasonable fee so that each site has its own IP address.

Web Hosting is a service that allows individuals and organizations to make their data accessible 24/7 from any part of the world via the World Wide Web. Data can be anything like images, files, your website etc. which can be uploaded via File Transfer Protocol (FTP) or a Web interface. The one who provides web hosting service is known as a web hosting provider.

Shared hosting is the most popular type of hosting and will suit the majority of both business and personal requirements. Most shared hosting companies use a Linux platform though some offer a Windows option as well, usually for a higher rate per month. Most shared hosting packages are worth so you can start off with a small plan and then increase as your needs change. Some advantages include.
Low cost per month, often discounts are available if paid annually.

Now days even a 5 year old kid will be happily tell you that Dedicated Servers are best, it’s due to the larger space and our own setup. I don’t really believe in free Hosting since they never let us grow and the quicker we understand the better chance we have for growth, I only prefer Serveria with Up to 10 Clean IPs, Daily backup and really competitive price, it’s deal choice.
