Thread: How do you upgrade ubuntu to the latest version?

I have a ubuntu installation on my old computer, but i need to update it to the latest version, as i do not have it

connected it to the internet.
I have a CD burner. What do i need to do to update to the latest version?

Mine has expired and keeps on telling me to update but when I try it fails, every time. I've been told that MINT is a little better than Ubuntu, but I've had no problems with UB until now - I just can't get it to upgrade and I refuse to waste any time learning the ins and outs of what to do, it should really be a lot easier for the layman.[COLOR="Silver"]
