    Go Daddy VS Namecheap

Till now i still purchase domain name at go daddy but recently my friend told me namecheap also give you value at great price and lower than go daddy..

By buying basic domain package, Namecheap give you free protection of whois privacy but go daddy need to pay for whois protection

Can somebody share their experience of using both of domain provider?

I recently bought an expired domain through godaddy and have had nothing but trouble getting it set up on hosting with them. The control panel is quite confusing and I don't like their design. Fairly good value though. Not tried Namecheap.

I used NameCheap in past and I can say their service is top notch. But Reason I stay at Godaddy is their prices are pretty good. Always can renew domains around 7.50$ using promo codes. One bad thing about Godaddy is they send you through a advertising jungle before check out but I don't mind it since I get good prices.

NameCheap is good I can't say any bad about it expect prices are high comparing with Godaddy. When you have 100+ domains those small price changes can matter a lot.

About whois privacy, I don't use it. When people see ownership details are hidden people get suspicious and start wondering if site is a scam or not. Also Often you don't get mails send for domain owners when you have Whois privacy on. Yeah they say they redirect but rarely that happen. So you might loose very important mails like legal matters etc.

There are promo codes for everything. For domain registrations , Domain transfers, Domain renewals etc. Also there are seasonal promo codes and special promo codes like those 1$ domain reg codes.
