Thread: local seo - 2 domains with 1 physical address? good or not?

Hi,

So I have an painting contracting site. It has a good page rank and is optimized well. He'd like to expand to doing general contracting. If i buy another domain and design a similar looking page and seo the heck out of this new domain will google and other search engines be ok with this; given the fact that the company name is similar AND the address is exactly the same? In other words, here is joepaint.com and id like to purchase a joecontractor.com and it will have the same physical local address will it devalue or discount the existing joepaint.com that has been around and optimized for years? this is important to me. quality advice and info would be awesome. thanks!

No, the first site won't be devalued by search engines.
