How to reinstall word press site or blog with old database back up to new server

My hosting service provider changed the server from US to UK. But when I tried to reinstall the site on new server, I am getting the database server connection error. I even tried to make changes in wp-config file after referring wordpress support site.

I would be glad if any one will be able to help me out.

Are the permissions set correctly for the database username? When you set-up a database you usually need to set the permissions.

From memory there are three lines in the wp-config file that need to be checked. database name, database username, and the password. These are usually prefixed with the hosting space name in the format of spacename_databasename etc. If you are using the same database name, user name, and password you still need to be sure that the hosting space name is correct for the new install.

I take it you are using the same domain name, is the site configuration the same as on the old hosting space? In other words, if the installation was in the root directory of the site in the old space is it in the root directory in the new space? If you change the relative location you might need to edit the file path in the database.

Firstly, you have to put your database to MYSQL. When you do it, post there.

yes, its the wp-config.php file to check. Ask the host if they have the database locally, if yes the DB host can be set as 'localhost'. Or, there wont be the database user have permission on the DB.
