Thread: to buy or not to buy, pr5 domain

hello,
i have found some pr5 .com cheap domains...
stupid names... but pr5...

i have check them with muptiple pr check to be sure they are pr5 (prchecker .info, checkpagerank .net, prchecker .net, pagerankchecker .net/tools/pagerank-checker/ - not sure which one to trust - please let me know which one to trust)

my idea was to buy them (for maximum 20$ ) and make web directories from them...(nofolow / follow)

the websites are parked and are about 2 years old...

please let me know... would these websites help me? does it worth the work? can i do something with them that will eventually bring some profit?

You can test it with one domain. Your success depends on different factors like quality, backlinks etc.

Is it possible to keep the pr5? - put some unique content on a simple page

You may find they have a high PR site 301'ing to it, which will then get removed once the sale goes through, causing the domain to drop PR. Where did you see them?

If it is a real PR5 its hard to keep it. But it is not impossible. Of course you have to do SEO.
