I guess someone had explain very clearly & posted a very helpful post for you but if then also you doesn't know about RSS then i would suggest you that keep visiting blogs, all blogs shows their RSS, someday or other you'll be able to know what RSS is.

RSS in simple words, is a feature that helps you follow things. You are given updates about different things. So you don't have to search for it again and again!

RSS has been intorduced along with the Web 2.0 . it has helped the servers from spam as the advts messages to emails has stopped. I love this concept

Forgiveness, but it used to be called RDF Site Summary, but has now been referred to as Really Simple Syndication.

I think the guys who posted here over delivered on the answers which is a good thing. Whoever, didn't know what it was would surely know now.
