Thread: Which language should i know to become an expert in web development?

There are various web development languages but which language should i know to become an expert in web development.

To become a web developer you must need huge knowledge about php and mysql. Also you need good knowledge about html, css, java script. You must need huge practice to become a professional web developer. But the design part is not very hard. Developing part is much challenging

Web development is a vast sector and technology are being updated all the time. You need to adjust yourself with those changes. Strong knowledge on subject like php, mysql, html, java script are quite essential to be successful as web developer.

You need to start with HTML / CSS and then learn PHP and MYSQL, also you will need some good grip over Photoshop for some designing and slicing work!

with html & css you can do magic things, and after do more with php & mysql & javascript

you can do magic things just witj html+css, and you can go so far with php+mysql+javascript

At flast glance you need to learn, c, c++ then you can better choose the language you want to be expert like PHP etc.

If you want to be expert then you should learn all languages of web development like .php, .net, java-script, mysql, HTML and CSS etc because experts know everything. In every field of life it is very hard to be expert and it needs a lot of hard work and practice.

I would suggest you to go for PHP and MYSQL, as this is one of the most powerful language.
While its good to start with basic HTML / CSS . And then start learning PHP and mysql.

There are many things in web development, you can choose any language from PHP, Java, .Net as a main language platform and html, css, javascript, jquery as a supporting language as these supporting languages are needed in all, but basically designers do this for developers. To be website design expert you should have these.

These days you need to have some knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP to modify and optimize your web sites. Also Almost all open source CMS are written in PHP. So you need to some bit a PHP or you need to hire someone everytime u want something to be modified.

As i can say from my own experience, you need PHP, CSS, HTML , and have knowledge about the CMS like Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, because lot of cleints want to have a site with that basic CMS. You need to know how you can extend them manualy and not only by ready plugins
