Depends on how fast you can learn. But again learning doesn't mean you will able to do all the java script stuff you see around net. It needs lots of practice and experience. You can learn fast with video tutorials like those at Lynda.com but also youtube is full of great video tutorials.

Lynda.com is very suitable to learning web design and programing. It has a huge collection of serial video tutorials. Also youtube has so many video tutorials. But on youtube there is no serial based tutorials.
I like Lynda.com. But it is paid site. Is there any site as Lynda.com which has no any charge but also have serial video tutorials?

Also I'd like to add w3schools.com to the list. Its "try it yourself editor" is truly amazing. I really enjoyed learning basic HTML there.
