Just out of interest, which eCommerce script do you think to be the most popular over tne net?

Way back I was using free osCommerce script and I was happy with it, they have some great addons for it.

I also give my first place to osCommerce, but still I have other preferances, such as Zen Cart and VirtueMart

Truthfully, I think all three of them are great. osCommerce, Zen Cart, and Virtue Mart are all great. You may want to consider what product or service you are offering and compare it to the modules within the programs. Also, look into the modules and addons available for the cart. All programs are able to offer shippable and downloadable media, but how hard are they to customize? If you are not familar with these products, choosing one that is harder to customize would make you have to pay someone else to do it or find someone that can do it. As far as customization and power, I personally found osCommerce to be the best and there is a lot of modules and addons available for it.

I have an Client which have an Online Shop with XT Commerce... When I did the Onpage Optimizing there was no problems to edit the php and html files... very easy to design too..
