Thread: Wordpress themes

Hey,
Anybody here is creating wordpress themes? Just want to now, is it easy to create themes?
What material I'll need to create?

It's easy, if you have knowledge of PHP, CSS and HTML. You need to be able to set up wordpress on a local server (or set it up for testing purposes on a domain). You then need an image editing program like Photoshop, and notepad or notepad++ for the coding.

There are many ways to design one, but mainly its all about designing it, slicing it and then coding the site according to the design you created. There are many sites on the net that give you complete tutorials from design to coding and it teaches you a lot of new tips and tricks as you go along.

It depends, many people say that is very easy, but some say that is very difficult. It is accorfing your skills, if you like programming, then you can do this easily.
If you want you can sendme a PM, i know some resources can help you to achieve your goal.
And as Phoenix say to you, yu will need those tools but the more expensive is photoshop. Or you can use Fireworks de adobe too.

I've done it and it honestly just depends on how in depth the theme is. Some can be really simple and easy, others can be a nightmare. It's all about how advanced/sophisticated you want the theme to be.

Hye buddy. This is something I am currently working on and at the moment I am follow this how-to-create-wordpress-themes-from-scratch-part-1(google it as i cant post links) it goes into detail but it is a start. I havent a clue about programming but its just a new learning curve for me so i will enjoy hearing from you.
