Php is a scripting language. The output from the script may be html. Browsers and bots deal with html.

Yep, php generates the HTML from the server side. So, it is all HTML in the end

HTML is a mark up language whereas PHP is the programming language so both are different to each other mean dont have the same working criteria.

User-side the source shows up as HTML. So, at that level, it is no longer PHP.

As the OP asked, from an SEO perspective, it make no difference whatsoever.

    hi alexpabla,

if you do a research in the internet then you will get to know that PHP is a server side scripting language which helps to create dynamic websites. but what you get in your
browser is plain simple html code which is sent by the web-server like Apache.

wen you are developing any website try to make the page names end with .html which can be achieved using .htaccess file.

this will give you much more value than to simply have .php extension for your web pages.

    kindest,
    abhishek kundu

You are confusing two things along here...
Html is what browers understand and execute on the visitor's pc. Php is a server side programming language that does not execute on the viewers pc but is used as one of a number of available methods to deliver html.

I think it makes no difference as Google/search engines will index pages with the same to file extensions. But where the subject is of good SEO value than I would recommend for HTML.

PHP is a server side programming language that allows developers to create dynamic content, interact with databases.
HTML is a markup language i.e., it controls the content flow on the client side. Mostly PHP serves HTML and are preferred by Google.
