Best "pop up" style to use?

Hi buddies.
I'm working on my website updating and would like to ask your opinion about the following.

I know that pop ups are not so friendly, but I still see them in use on different websites. I'm thinking about pop style implementing (especially popover one). So if I pick the pop style, which one should I choose: pop in - pop under - pop over or site exit?

Please advise me, according to your own experience?

Use popup domination! Its awesome

Popups are very aggravating and I never use them. Besides that I have popup blockers on all my browsers and suspect most savvy surfers do too. I would advise you to avoid the use of popups, instead provide your site visitors to click on a link that will display what it is you want your prospective client to consider.
