Thread: Working with Godaddy Online Store and content

Hi everyone, been a while. I have had my head in the trenches...

I have stared a new adventure with a friend of mine and we are using the GoDaddy Online Store feature. I found out to my surprise, this premium service doesn't offer any type of blog.

Being that product descriptions are not very long and a lot of duplicate content gets posted that you can't get around due to being specs, I thought a blog would be a good choice to get fresh content rolling in.

The way the Godaddy Online Store works, your hosting is included so you are unable to create a new folder to add WP. They told me that I could create a sub.domain for my blog but the issue there is I believe a sub domain is treated as a independent domain, correct? If so, it would not help me main domain.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could add a blog so that it would help the with the duplicate content of my store? If not, my only other choice would be to write a small article/product description for each product and cut down on all the specs people will need to look at.

Feeling a little discouraged and I will get passed this.

You can setup sub domain, for blog no problems, as a matter of fact it is common practice to have blog.yourdomain.com
But the best way possible is maybe to have WP installed on root domain and throw woocommerce and all other goodies we love

So isn't a root domain and sub domain looked at as two independent domains and will not help one another with SERPS?
