Thread: Any Pro php scripters ?

I'm brainstorming ideas for a unique new script/tool to be able to offer online, but I can't program it myself. Because...I have no darn clue, except for some customization stuff.

Is there an online source (free) where one could learn a trick or two ?

I'm not a PHP Guru, but perhaps i can help you. I know just a german site.

I know there are many PHP courses online, but for a simple jou must not learn scripting you can also hire a freelancer, because PHP learning needs time.

Can you PM me the German website ?

When I was new to php I used Devshed forum to get my all questions sorted out. I haven't been to that forum for a while but there were so many php experts who are willing to help others. Also I had those Lynda.com tutorials but those are not free.

I'll see how far I can get with that.
If it's gonna take me too much time I'm gonna have to find someone to do it for me...

I recommend the same site as brillbrine. w3schools is especially good for beginners. Since I had experience with other programming languages in college prior to learning PHP, the learning process was faster and easier for me. If you use Windows, I also recommend you install WAMP so you can practice actually doing each example with an web page offline.

Try freelancer.com I post my jobs there now and then when I am in a bind. Their freelanders are very good and prices are very low.

PHP is so well documented that whenever I need to know something new I can usually target my need on google and find success. Stack overflow is a also a great place to search for how-tos.
