If you don't have much knowledge about PHP No problem! Go with W3school! W3school will definitely help you. On this site you can learn from basic.

You can go with wordpress or joomla, you wont need much of php knowledge but if you need php knowledge then w3schools is the place to go.

Wordpress is a free blog script. It has a log in system. If you have a CPanel webhost, Wordpress can be easily installed. What is nice about Wordpress is that there are many plugins available which can enhance the functionality of your blog site.

Yes, I agree with trouble. You can go through with joomla, in joomla you can get login option. For making site in joomla you won’t require knowledge of PHP.

Just go for wordpress; it is the best & basically it is a blog script provider but now with buddypress extension you can create a great social networking site as well.

You will get plenty of sites related to your topic. w3schools.com, you can find all the sections of PHP you want to introduced yourself with. And the best thing is you can see your competency with Trial version. You can even visit tutorialguide.net

Aside from Joomla and Wordpress, there is another popular blogging CMS. This is called Drupal. Most educational institutions are using this script.

Your question has been raised in one of the threads here. But you can go to w3wchools.com for your reference. It is a good tutorial site for PHP and other scripts.

I migrated my Drupal site to Wordpress. I found Drupal to be a massive resource hog, very slow to load and very poor for SEO.

My apologies to all the Drupal fans and I really did like using it but my host didn't.

A login script is pretty easy to make but I don't write that stuff any more, I just install S2-Member plugin (it's free) and that handles all the membership and sales stuff I need.
