I think that Nemanja is our php wizard, but as I understand it a session is the running of a php script. You put a php start session statement at the top of the page to initiate the running of the script.

I use php includes and scripts on my sites but do not code php. I just follow the instructions that come with the script.

OP is posting some stupid and same questions all over the place to raise post count, half of the threads I have deleted...

But to answer the question, maybe someone would need that info.
I know few things, but I'm far from php wizard

A PHP session variable is used to store information about, or change settings for a user session. Session variables hold information about one single user, and are available to all pages in one application.

Absolutely correct. It is how the site owner tracks your usage through the site, usually to make sure you don't have to keep logging in to access the more private parts of a site.

Sometimes the session data is stored in a cookie and sometimes it's stored in the link URL. Session ID used to be a problem for the search robots because every page had a unique session ID and this caused the indexing of tons of duplicate pages which really weren't dupes.

The bots can handle this much better now so that issue has been eliminated. I prefer cookies to IDs in the url as it looks so much better if you save a link to a site page.
