Hey guys, I'm just new here and I have a question.

Is it still okay if I use high PR forum profiles with links in the signature as backlinks?

Here's what I'm thinking, I will have a link of my money site in Web 2.0 sites and live articles in directories. Then I will place a link of my 2.0 sites and live articles in forum profile signatures. I'm thinking about 10 forum profile links per day. What do you guys think, will this work?

You should make different backlink possibilities. Not just forum backlinks. Make a mix of forums, social bookmarks, article directories, blog comments and so on.

I agree, and should your backlink make naturally, and if your site's age are new. Not recommended for boost your backlink.

If you register with forum just for getting link it is one type of spamming. The forum admin can ban your account anytime. Instead after registration you can post some reply then you can use link and signature.
Not only forum links you should get link from blog comment, article directories, bookmarking site, directory site etc. Not only this, why you are not planing to use social networking platforms. Now a days social sites like twitter, facebook, my space, pinterest etc are 'no.1' to generate traffic.

For builing grate backlinks i suggest to you to get backlinks from website that has the same niche as you!
1 backlinke like this = 100 backlinks fro other forums!

do you mean you want forum profile links as 2nd tier to your main links? my opinion for 2nd tier links purposes it just ok.. but it comes with the possible of your link will be rid of by the forum admin.. i would say social bookmark is a good way instead of forum profile when you consider 2nd tier links
