Do you ping or let google find the book marks naturally?

I use pingdevice and pingomatic website. I always use ping website after creating backlinks.

It won't hurt pinging them thought Google would find those links without it. I do it like once every week if I had couple of submissions.

Pinging backlinks is really just going to bog down Google's server. It also won't get the backlinks indexed any faster unless you are pinging a dead site that rarely ever updates.

I would say to ping is just to let the search engines know that a new content has been created. Of course search engines find the new content naturally, but if you help them is even better. Pingomatic is a good option. I use a software for that
