Hey all, how good are links from youtube?
Should you promote them? If so, how? Link submission?
I know video in your posts are good for seo but default youtube "sharing" options is in iframe. Is using them that way helping your site or should I be using another way?
I know a lot of questions here but new to the whole youTube thing.

My personal of view, i think by placing your link at youtube page can't bring a lot of juice in term of ranking purposes, but if for promotion, i would say yes, you just need type in the right tags for the video purposes
Yes youtube have good PR and TR so profile links is a good option. Google using iframes but they not a "normal" iframes... its a idea for new (big) thread.
basically. I have no problem with index profile link from YT.
You are saying to use profile backlinks to video? Any other thoughts?

yes it is.. profile link, but it won't give great effect at all on ranking purposes even though youtube has PR9, i experiment it by myself one year agoQuote:

I would say any link is excellent on youtube even in your profile. I found one of my urls in someones profile the other day by doing a quick search.
I've never done that. I've heard your links wont get enough juice from Youtube..
Youtube optimization is actually one of my main specialties. I've ran a lot of tests and experiments with it and this is what I came up with. Before the redesign of YT, the profile link was the only way to get a followable link from YT. Now it's a nofollow link. Any links you put in video descriptions are also nofollow as well. Although these are nofollow links, I do have a theory that these are still paid attention to by google only since YT is now a google service. I also noticed that when I optimized a video about a service with the company and put a link in the video description pointing to that service page on the website, it helped the video itself perform better in search. This also kind of goes along with my theory about facebook shares being counted as weak links too.
I haven't noticed any difference on ranking purpose either. I have about 100 videos and 100000+ views total.Quote:
