Selling links - is there harm in dofollow?

I had someone approach me to pay me monthly to insert a link into the content of one PR2 post on a PR3 blog. I know it is better practice to nofollow outgoing links.

But if they really wanted a dofollow, would it harm me if they were a PR5 in a niche that is relevant to the content on that page and they were quite strong, backlinks and authority wise? The page they want me to link to is a PR4 itself. They have a ton of high quality backlinks themselves.

Would it be typical to price the link differently based on nofollow or dofollow?

They will not want a nofollow link if they paying you...

It has to be dofollow... and You can easily get more than 100-200$ per six month if your page is PR2..

That is because relevance, some tool might be showing your site as essential backlink required to rank for their keyword... amd these people trust these tool blindly, no matter how your site is built or ranking...

That won't harm your PR or anything to your website.
Just let them pay and put that dofollow link

that's true dark they just want to advertise their website because they have budget to purchase some links that have same niche with their website.. but Google don't like this way because Google want us to advertise with Google itself

As you mentioned the site is relevant and strong in backlinks and authority wise. Its nothing harm to outlink dofollow link to their site.

I had a experience that when I build too many link at once my website suddenly got de-listed from Google. Thankfully it appears again after a week or 2.

It can be cause by other things but still somehow I had that feeling it cause by building too many links at one time.

Nevermind sometimes google like to dance regularly.. but avoid to much link in one night... if you are sandboxed by google, it takes longer time to recover

Its true though. If you have to many links pointing back to your site, Google gets suspicious and sometimes penalizes a site for it. Google is all about natural link building and link growth. I have also heard that its good to have a balance of nofollow and dofollow links as well. Focusing only on dofollow might not be as good for a site as it might be with a good balance of the two.

(30%)nofollow + (70%)dofollow + consistency = good natural link building. Correct me if i'm wrong.. but don't bother to much.. sometimes Google also not very exactly and truly as people always said, just constantly make your backlink, don't push to hard

By adding in a few relevant paid links to your site, it won't hurt it at all and may actually help your site. However, if your entire blogroll is full of nothing but paid links, your site will suffer. If you do decide to add in paid links, then make sure you are saturating that section of your site with legitimate links as well. You may also want to consider doing a sponsored post instead.
