Blog or Forums?

I have started link building to one of my blogger blogs but I can't understand what to choose, should I go for blog backlinks or forum backlinks, which one is good for getting quality backlinks for my blog?

You could use both and also look for a good balance between dofollow and nofollow. It would help build your site reputation as well as rank.

You have to use everything method to get backlinks. Specially doFollow backlinks. It's easy to get backlinks from Blogs than forums but hard to get doFollow backlinks. Forums usually give you doFollow blacklinks if you contribute something great to the forum. Also you get to use forum signature.

Not only blog and Forums, you can also involve in some other process such as submitting to blog directory, participate in blog carnivals etc to get quality backlinks and traffic.

I would agree with using both, but I have to say that these would really just be filler links. It's the high quality links from other sources that will help your site to fly.

Both would be good if you use relevant quality do follow links. Also search for other forums with the same, it all helps

Both Blogs and Forums are important for getting back links.When you are posting in blogs which are related to your site, you can get quality back links.Forums always help to get the quality back links.So, you can try both the methods.

I prefer both. Both are the very effective techniques of link building. You can create quality backlinks from it. And also forum and blog increase your website traffic as well as SERP.

I agree both are effective. In addition you'll build a reputation by posting quality threads and replies on relevant forums. A big bonus besides the backlinks you'll build that most internet marketers aren't aware of.

Both are effective for SEO. But I prefer forum when it comes to gaining lots of traffic.

I think both have their own worth. Usability of both are different and so are the users. I think forums are better if you really must have a comparison.
