    Legal aspect of selling links

Has anyone thought of this before?

Say you are selling a package of high PR blog comments to a client. They check back in a few months and some of the blogs have gone, or the PR has been reduced.

I guess what I'm saying is you should have some kind of disclaimer to ensure they don't come back threatening to sue or bad mouth you!

    Do you have a disclaimer?

    I just know 2 things

    - selling links on a dofollow site is violating google search engine terms and conditions
    - it can decrease the site's PR too, if have lot of external links

Just to clarify...I'm talking about blog commenting for links. Helping clients get good quality links by high PR blog commenting using their keywords.

You don't need to, unless you claim PR will last for 6 months or anytime of time period.

But Google penalize sites which sell doFollow links or buy doFollow links.

Ok but buy high pr backlinks - Google Search would suggest they don't get de-indexed - over 1m results!

Sorry I don't follow? I'm talking about making a site like the ones in the google search link of my previous post, that offers a link building service to customers.

Yes I think good disclaimer and refund policy for that kind of site/business is a MUST.

Okey thing you wouldn't have a problem. I think its better have a disclaimer then. Saying you can responsible about future changes. A good site should has its own, TOS, privacy policy and disclaimer.

    No refunds LOL
It is hard to make refund policy right now, you need to put all possible cases on the paper and then go from there

    xD. It happened before.

Years ago something scary happened to a friend of mine. He had a site which sells doFollow PR backlinks. This guy copied a TOS from another site and didn't read it completely. TOS had a line about you can get a refund if you are not happy and after 3 months he had like dozen people asking for refunds.

I totally agree with Terms of Service but I think it should only be about replacing links that were removed in the span of 3 months or so.

Also, make sure to explain all the details properly as if the client is not satisfied, he might ask for a refund anytime.
