I have a doubt that suppose we have a website abcd dot com with more back-links from few domains or a single domain. Another xyz dot com back-links from many domains. Which will be ranked first? or which is long lasting?

I have a doubt that suppose we have a website abcd dot com with more back-links from few domains or a single domain. Another xyz dot com back-links from many domains. Which will be ranked first? or which is long lasting?
There is no right answer for this.
for example you can have link from google.com home page VS 10.000 links from other "irrelevant" websites
on the other hand you could have a one link from "irrelevant" website and many from main top rated websites,
so all depends on what, when, where, who, why, etc..
That said in most cases is best to have links from different domains, preferably editorial links form same niche as yours, and ideally that they are authority websites.
