OK. I searched competitors backlinks, now what?

Hi all. I used back link watch to get a list of my competitors back links but I don't know where to go from here. Can anyone tell me how i can get back links from the sites that link to my competitors? Sorry if I sound naive but I am lost. Also, is backlink watch the best way to source competitors back links?

Many thanks if you can help me.

Just try to get backlinks from these sites. No rocket science there. See what kind of site is each of those and try to get backlinks. If it's a social bookmarking or directory then submit your site, if it's a forum the join and add your profile link and signature, if no other way to get free backlink then try to contact webmaster and see if you can get a backlink from it. There are no other easy ways to do it. It's a 100% manual process.

It is a good start for getting back links to your site. Now you only have to do to visit all this URLs from your list and try aquiring back links to your site as well. I think not all URLs will work for you but if you have got a few good back links it worth the time!

This is what I do first!
Analyze Backlink Sources from Competitor... then trying to imitate these Links.

    Thanks seobunny,
Can you please explain a little more for me. When you say 'imitate these links', do you mean try to get a backlink also from that source? Many of the source sites my competitors have, are regular web sites, not directories, bookmarking or forum sites. Do you think I should contact the webmaster and ask for a backlink? I'm not sure how my competitors got their backlink. Many thanks, Glendene

    - Analyze all sources from top 10 ranking sites on your niche.
    - Then try to create backlinks there
    - If you cant create backlinks on some sources you must try to write the webmaster for link exchange or article exchange
    - Most Competitors getting backlinks tru comments... try to comment on these sites too

yeah, analysis of the backlinks are best.. look at the PR and then if the links your competitor has are Niche related, you then want to emulate this and pay attention to on-page seo as well...
be patient and watch to see if positive changes happen, give it 30-60 days and if the ranking isn't where you want it to be, start the process over...
