Help in improving my website rank in google

I am actually working on a website. I need some help and tips on how to improve its rank on Google.
What I want to know is how can I find my website on Google when I type certain keyword. Because when I type the keyword I do not find the link on Google first page. However, if I type the page domain name as a keyword with .com then it appears else no.
How can I do to see my website by only typing its domain name without the .com

To improve your website ranking in search engines you have to do On page & Off page optimization. In On page optimization, use Title, Meta Description, Strong, H1, H2, H3 tags etc. Use w3.org to validate the website code. Add your website in Google webmaster account and see if there are any broken or not found links. Fix all such errors to make your On page optimization perfect. In Off page optimization, you will have to build backlinks from relevant websites. You can build back links from forum signatures, guest blog posting, press release etc.

When you type the name with the .com you are searching specifically for places on the web where the name is mentioned including the .com. As long as your site is indexed it should show at or near the top of the SERP, along with links built to the domain name and other mentions of the site on the web.

When you type the name without the .com you are doing a simple keyword search. The result will be the real SERP for that keyword, listed along with all the other results for that keyword. Ranking a site for a specific keyword is what SEO is all about. How hard it is to gain a first page position depends on your competition for that keyword.

If you have or open a WebMaster Tools account there will eventually be a listing that shows the keywords for which the site ranks along with an average search position. You can also use the IMT SERP checker tool to track some of your main keywords.

i think your website content is not a power full you try to modify some on page optimization techniques i hope your ranking is good
