How To Find Out When My Site Will Be Indexed by Google

    Hi

My site is useipad.org and it has been sitting not doing much for quite a while becuase google doesn't seen to want to index my site. I have got over 100 backlinks and I have fetched as googlebot in Webmaster tools and used the IMT Website Submitter but google isn't taking any of it

Any ideas on how to get indexed fast

The site looks to me like what Google would call a thin affiliate site. You might add a bit more content. Find some other related keywords and add posts/articles featuring those keywords.

I don't know that I would call 28 days an eternity.

In context text links to the affiliate site will probably work better than the banner, although having the banner appear as a video player may get some clicks from people hoping to see a video. It may also disappoint them when they arrive at a sales page.

I did a search under 'useipad.org' and saw a lot of garbage links. These should send bot traffic, but you will need some quality links to get the page indexed and to get anywhere in the SERPs.

Sorry, where did you search because I cannot find any evidence of my links anywhere on the internet

Just do an exact search for your site: "useipad.org" (the quotes make it an exact search) and you may see over 800 listings mostly of the type generated by the IMT Website Submitter.

I made a short blog post about crawling, indexing and search position that may help to understand the process.

Have you watched your traffic logs at all? If you have cpanel hosting for the site traffic logs will be easily accessible to you and will show all traffic to your site. As I recall AWStats also shows bot traffic. You would be particularly interested in GoogleBot, but the other major search bots would also be informative.

As I mention in the post sited previously, just because a site gets crawled does not mean that it is indexed. The page data is pulled and then analyzed later before it is included in the index.

As I see it there are several problems with the site. Google does not much like affiliate sites. Google does not like too much advertising above the fold. There is not enough content on the site to make Google take it seriously.

You might want to do some reading in the webmaster tools section that Google maintains, particularly about their quality guidelines.
