Thread: PR has been updated by google.

Have you noticed that yesterday Page rank has been updated by google and in this update i got pr 4 for my website and lose one rank for my blog (now it is on pr 1), what you people lose and gain in this update?.

Yea...I have been reading on other places too. There was a PR update lately.
Though I am least bothered with it, its just a metric for me. Because it can't help me in improving my conversion, traffic and ROI.

A higher PR certainly can't hurt your reputation as a quality site in the eyes of squillions of people. Many still lay judge to the value of a site by it's ranking. And yes. I noticed the update also.

I have noticed the pagerank update 3 days ago. Some websites are still on the same pagerank like before. One site surprised me ... i got PR1. The site is now 2 weeks online and i made just 10 backlinks.

PR and 1 - 2 is easy to achieve. Most of my site maintain no change.

I'd rather have high number of visitors rather than high PR.

Why? If you have a PR3+ blog, your site will get hugely increased number of spam each day. Of course you could close down the comments, but that's not a good thing IMO.

Yes, you have to fight with spammer, the more valuable your site is the more spammer would like to interact with your site.

I haven't noticed any PR change in my sites but couple of sites have gotten a traffic increase. I haven't bothered about PR ever since Google banned link buying and selling.

i didint get PR updated and i got 200+ backlinks i dont know why its still same in 2 nd position

PR of my web page didn't updated although it has 322 back links, anyone here who is suffering from the same situation ?

I never headed google has updated his PR soon easy way lose weight. Check again if you are all right ways lose weight because I have been searching for this news for a long time. I have not heard anything like this for a long time so are you sure you are right then I will have to contact with google.
