Google announced its new privacy policy will take effect starting March 1st. Do you think it would create more benefits or harm for its users?

i already watched the video.. the one thing i like is the accuracy of search engine result, google will improve that features according to people intention and needs, so google will only delivered the reliable content to users

Face it. No matter if their new policy is good or not, when it comes to the internet and especially on all the properties they own which is ever increasing, Google is more powerful then any Government without having to be elected or having to answer to anyone. It wouldn't surprise me if one day school kids were pledging allegiance to Google.

Many people are worried about the privacy policy.

Here's an update on this: Congress had sent a letter to Google asking them why they are making these changes and to specify how they would be protecting users' privacy. This is Google's response letter: Google Letter Regarding Privacy Policy

This is why I use FireFox and won't use Google products. They really dont respect your privacy...
