Google just made some changes that have broken PageRank checkers around the Web. Due to a modification to their toolbar query URL, PageRank tools are now reporting N/A for any website.
A fix has been discovered for their primary PageRank toolbar domain (toolbarqueries.google.com), however this fix is currently not working for all of Google's other data centers.
You can make a quick fix to Scriptalicious PageRank tools to get the correct PageRank results from Google's toolbar server.
Open the file /klib/class.kPageRank.php.
Find the following line, around line 182:
Change it to:PHP Code:
$out = "GET /search?client=navclient-auto&ch=" . $ch . "&features=Rank&q=info:" . $url . " HTTP/1.1\r\n" ;
If you want to remove non-responsive data center IP addresses temporarily, you can edit /inc/googledc.txt and remove all lines except "toolbarqueries.google.com".PHP Code:
$out = "GET /tbr?client=navclient-auto&ch=" . $ch . "&features=Rank&q=info:" . $url . " HTTP/1.1\r\n" ;
We'll be keeping you updated as we research the changes further to determine if there is a fix for other data centers, or if Google has decided to pull the plug on PageRank data offered by other DC's.
